Thankfully at the zumba group I go to, there are no mirrors! This is so fun reading about everyone and feeling like we are not alone in this. In my little town I tend to just look at the few people that are super fit and compare myself to them. I don't even realize that there are people out there like the people in this challenge that struggle daily and wish they could do something about it. I am working to not compare myself so much.
This challenge this week has been so great. The first two days were the hardest of course but after a few days I was actually wanting to stick with it and looking for time to exercise. My biggest accomplishment this week I think was resisting ice cream THREE times! First at a school awards ceremony (sundae's and all toppings including brownies), at home with my husband, and again when my husband brought home a Wendy's frosty for me. I put it in the freezer and he ate it the next day. I'm thinking my husband needs to join with me... I also notice how every meeting, ceremony, activity, game, concert etc. that we go to, people offer refreshments. That does not mean I need to partake at every event however!
I also noticed that previously I did not drink a lot of water. This week I was constantly getting a glass and consequently running to the bathroom every hour.
I actually feel like my "muffin top" area is getting smaller, I can feel the waist band on my pants not pinching quite so much, and I am not starving all the time like I was the first few days.
I realized my starting weight was the weight that I was when I DELIVERED my TWINS 13 1/2 years ago. (5 pounds each and I lost 34 pounds in two days during and after delivery) There are no twins in there now so I should not weigh that! I am so excited to see what this next week brings, mother's day feast and all!
Saying no to ice cream 3 times!!!??? AMAZING! Seriously, great job on the first week!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the hard work! Wish I could go to Zumba too! It sounds fun.
