Hello All! I am  Amy, and super excited to be doing the challenge!  Looks like I am the grandma of the group :)

I have 5 children, (none of whom are really children anymore...) plus a step son,  a son in law, and daughter in law- along with my amazing grand children!  I am blessed to be doing my first ever challenge with my beautiful daughters, Megan and Emma. Besides Megan's family in Colorado, I have my son Andy and his wife Raven in Rexburg, son Spenser in Missouri, son Tanner on a mission in Chile, step son Justin who lives locally with his mom, and Emma who is fixing to leave for college in a few weeks!
I thought I would post a picture that included Megan and Emma (since Emma didn't post a pic...)...this was a few years ago, but had most of the crew at the time with the exception of JD (Megan's husband).
I have lived (born in California), in California, Washington, Oregon and Missouri. Moved back to California in 2006 and eventually found the love of my life...a boy I had a crush on in high school. We have been married for 3 years. And will be celebrating our first sealing anniversary on Friday.
I am a commercial estimator for finish carpentry, working for a general contractor for the past 5 years.
So food...yes it's my friend and my enemy. Definitely a love hate relationship.
I am trying to focus on looking at it as a necessary evil; 'fuel' for existence and not so much an emotional filler/time killer. My grandmother tried to fix everything with food. Good.Swedish.food.
Tough cycle to break, but not impossible- have been working on it since last September and currently am closer to my goal now then I have been in YEARS...
Okay the other two pics are from a trip we took to be sealed in the Kansas City Temple last May 10, 2012- the first one is from Far West with my husband and my Mom, and the second is at Adam-Ondi-Ahman, with my husband Bryan... oh the rear view...The pictures will give you a better idea of where I was.  So far I have lost 36 lbs...painstakingly s-l-o-w process. I will post a current picture next time. So excited for the journey!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT first week!!
