So the first week went pretty well for me, until I had a rough day at home and the kids had been crying all day long and I just felt like giving up this whole challenge. All I wanted was a ginormous brownie with loads of ice cream and hot fudge. Luckily for me in this case my daughter who is nursing is sensitive to dairy so I can't eat the good stuff anyway. But I was so grumpy and turned right to my sweet tooth for comfort. Any ideas on this one?
The weigh in today made me feel a bit better and I want to keep going at this. I am out of town today and all day tomorrow. We did some walking around a mall today and I did fairly well on calories. I am not sure how to get my exercise in tomorrow though while traveling.
This first week also made me realize portion size. I think eating proper portions is really going to help me.
I tried a new "recipe" this week. It is a one ingredient ice cream. Take two ripe bananas, peel them and slice them up. Put the sliced bananas into a Baggie and put into freezer. Once frozen, use your blender or a food processor to blend them until creamy. It sounds like it would taste like a boring banana but it fooled me because it had a great taste and the texture was nice and creamy. You could add some peanut butter or berries to change it up a bit. I am going to have this again for sure.
It is hard for me to not see what the end result will be right now. Maybe I am lazy or something but I just want to wave a magic wand and see my goals finished.
I like crystal light for a sweet treat. So few calories but still sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was traveling at a family reunion I got my workout points in the pool one day. The other day I just found things I could do in my hotel room in small increments...10 mins. Of calve raises, later 10 mins. Of sit ups, push ups, etc. i also ran up and down the stairs. Not sure of your situation, but maybe this can help. Good luck!
